TRENT round table

On Tuesday, 27th of July, 2021, the first TRENT round table was held online and focusing on the topic of Biotechnology and bio economy. Thirty-five participants from Chinese and German universities and industries took part in the Round Table. Experts gave six very high quality speeches from universities and industries. The main topic of this event was application of the biotechnologies in the three fields: Biomass liquefaction for waste carbon sources, anaerobic technology in the organic-waste treatment and Enzyme Immobilization for the product process. During the Q&A session, the challenges of the further cooperation, like funding resources, joint research lab, technology transfer and cooperation model, were deeply discussed. All participant agreed to hold a series of events to keep the discussions and explore a suitable approach for a successful cooperation among the participants.
